We are looking for a teacher who combines strong subject knowledge with warmth, enthusiasm and a genuine interest in helping young people succeed.
You will ideally have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
A degree or strong academic background in English or a related subject.
Previous experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
Good knowledge of the English curriculum and current assessment requirements.

The opportunity to make a genuine difference to pupils' confidence, progress and future success.
Beyond the Classroom
We are looking for someone who wants to become part of the wider school community, not simply teach their timetable.
You may have an interest in reading, debating, creative writing, drama, journalism or another area that could enrich pupils' experience of English. The school welcomes teachers who are keen to contribute to clubs, competitions, trips and other activities that bring learning to life.
Safeguarding
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
