A thriving secondary school in Newham is looking for a reliable and practical DT Technician to join its successful Design Technology team.
The department offers pupils the opportunity to develop strong practical and technical skills, and the successful technician will play an important role in keeping lessons, workshops and equipment running smoothly.
⭐ The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
Preparing materials and equipment for lessons
Supporting practical classroom activities
Maintaining machinery, tools and workshops
Managing stock and resources
Supporting Product Design and Resistant Materials
Assisting with CAD/CAM and specialist equipment
Ensuring high standards of health and safety
👤 About You
Previous experience as a DT Technician, Workshop Technician or within an engineering environment would be highly desirable.
You’ll be hands-on, organised and confident working with machinery and practical equipment.
