Our Client is looking to appoint a highly motivated and engaging English Teacher to join a successful school in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an English specialist who is passionate about literature, language and helping young people develop the confidence and communication skills they need to succeed.

The successful English Teacher will be expected to deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a broad and engaging curriculum. You will be responsible for creating lessons that encourage students to read critically, express themselves confidently and develop sophisticated analytical and written skills.

Experience and Qualifications:

• English Teacher with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4

• Strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature

• Formal teaching qualification with QTS or recognised equivalent

• Experience teaching English within a secondary school

• Excellent understanding of literacy and examination requirements

• Ability to differentiate lessons for students of varying abilities

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to inspire students and develop a love of English

• Commitment to raising student attainment

• Experienced teachers and ECTs are encouraged to apply

• Overseas-qualified teachers with an appropriate formal teaching qualification may be considered
