A well-established secondary school in Derbyshire is seeking a versatile History and Humanities Teacher to join its department from January 2027.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will teach History alongside broader Humanities provision and will play an important role in delivering a broad, engaging curriculum.
This position would suit a History specialist who enjoys working across Humanities and wants to contribute to curriculum development and wider school life.
Key Responsibilities
Teach History across KS3 and KS4
Deliver selected Humanities lessons where required
Plan engaging and challenging learning sequences
Support GCSE preparation and intervention
Assess pupil progress and provide meaningful feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities

Candidate Requirements
QTS and a relevant History/Humanities qualification
Strong secondary teaching experience
Good GCSE History knowledge
Ability to teach across different Humanities topics
Strong organisational and communication skills
Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
