About the School

An elite and forward-thinking school in Richmond is seeking an experienced IT Technician to join its established technical support team.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on support to staff and pupils while helping maintain the school’s IT infrastructure, classroom technology and devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing first-line technical support.

  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

  • Supporting staff and pupils with technical problems.

  • Setting up laptops, computers and classroom devices.

  • Maintaining interactive displays and AV equipment.

  • Installing software and system updates.

  • Supporting user accounts and access issues.

  • Maintaining printers and peripheral equipment.

  • Logging and monitoring support requests.

  • Maintaining accurate equipment records.

  • Preparing technology for lessons and events.

  • Escalating complex technical issues where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as an IT Technician within a school or educational setting is essential.

  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.

  • Previous experience supporting staff and pupils.

  • Good understanding of educational IT environments.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Patient and professional approach.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
