You will deliver Computer Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop both their theoretical understanding and practical programming skills.
At KS3, you will introduce students to computational thinking, programming, algorithms, data representation and the wider principles of computer science. At GCSE, you will build on these foundations through topics such as programming, computer systems, networks, cybersecurity and computational logic.
The role will involve plenty of opportunities for students to apply what they have learned through programming exercises, problem-solving activities and practical tasks. You will encourage students to test their ideas, identify errors and develop logical approaches to solving problems.
You will also be responsible for assessing student progress and adapting lessons where necessary. The successful candidate will be able to support students who are developing their confidence while providing appropriate challenge to those who are already working at a high level.

Computer Science Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
Computer Science Degree or related subject
QTS or recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4
GCSE Computer Science experience
Strong programming knowledge
Good understanding of algorithms and computational thinking
Confident classroom and behaviour management
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Strong planning and assessment skills

The salary for this Computer Science Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
