Our client is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a successful school in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an imaginative and committed teacher who wants to inspire students to develop their creativity, artistic confidence and technical skills.

The successful Art Teacher will be responsible for delivering a broad and engaging Art curriculum that allows students to experiment with different media, techniques and creative approaches. You will encourage pupils to develop their own ideas while providing the technical guidance and subject knowledge needed to produce high-quality work.

The school is looking for a teacher who can create an engaging studio-style learning environment in which students are encouraged to be ambitious and take pride in their work. Strong classroom management, excellent organisation and a genuine enthusiasm for Art will be essential.

You will work alongside colleagues within the department to develop schemes of work, share resources and support students across different ability levels. Experience and Qualifications

• Qualified Art Teacher with relevant teaching experience

• Ability to teach Art across the appropriate key stages

• Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE

• Strong practical and theoretical Art knowledge

• Ability to teach a range of artistic techniques and media

• Creative approach to lesson planning and delivery

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to inspire students and encourage creative independence

• Overseas teachers with an appropriate formal teaching qualification are encouraged to apply
