Our client is seeking a dedicated and organised Assistant SENCO to join a welcoming school in Kent. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the SENCO with the coordination and development of provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
This is a varied and rewarding position that will involve working closely with teaching staff, pupils, parents and external professionals. The successful Assistant SENCO will help monitor SEND provision, contribute to individual support plans, maintain accurate records and ensure that students receive appropriate support to help them make progress.
The school is looking for an individual who is passionate about inclusion and understands the importance of providing personalised support for pupils with a wide range of additional needs. You will need to be highly organised, approachable and confident communicating with colleagues and families.

Experience and Qualifications
Experience working with pupils with SEND
Previous experience supporting SENCOs or working within a SEND/pastoral team would be advantageous
Strong understanding of SEND provision and inclusive education
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and external agencies
Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
Relevant teaching, SEND or education qualification desirable
Legal ability to work within the UK
