Teach Music in a Well-Resourced Independent School

An established independent school in Haringey is looking for a passionate Music Teacher to join its creative and well-resourced department on a maternity cover basis.

This is a 3-day-per-week position, Monday to Wednesday, running through to July 2027, making it a great opportunity for a teacher looking for a part-time role within a supportive school environment.

The Role

You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons covering performance, composition, theory and musical development.

  • Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons

  • Preparing students for GCSE Music

  • Supporting composition and performance

  • Assessing and tracking student progress

  • Contributing to the wider Music department

  • Supporting extracurricular musical activities

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues

  • Maintaining high expectations across the classroom

About You

You'll need QTS and a relevant Music degree, with experience teaching Music to KS4.

The school would suit someone who is enthusiastic about Music and enjoys creating an engaging classroom environment. Experience teaching GCSE Music is particularly desirable.
