Geography Teacher – Stoke-on-Trent

Wayman Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join an inclusive secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will have a passion for Geography and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic potential.

Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Position: Geography Teacher
Start Date: January 2027
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience

The School

The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to become confident and independent learners. The Geography department delivers a broad curriculum covering physical and human Geography.

The Role

  • Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4.

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons.

  • Develop students' geographical knowledge and enquiry skills.

  • Support GCSE students with examination preparation.

  • Assess and monitor student progress.

  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • QTS or recognised teaching qualification.

  • Strong Geography subject knowledge.

  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4.

  • Effective classroom and behaviour management.

  • Ability to engage students of different abilities.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
