Geography Teacher – Leicester

Wayman Education is seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Leicester. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire students through an engaging and relevant Geography curriculum.

Position: Geography Teacher
Start Date: January 2027
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience

The School

The school provides a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop academically and personally. Staff work closely together to ensure students receive a consistent and high-quality education.

The Role

  • Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver engaging lessons covering a broad range of geographical topics.

  • Develop students' enquiry, analytical and geographical skills.

  • Assess and monitor student progress.

  • Support GCSE students with examination preparation.

  • Contribute to departmental planning and development.

The Ideal Candidate

  • QTS or recognised teaching qualification.

  • Strong Geography subject knowledge.

  • Experience teaching at secondary level.

  • Ability to engage students of varying abilities.

  • Excellent organisation and classroom management.

  • A positive and collaborative approach.
