⚠️ Previous School Safeguarding Experience Essential

A high-performing primary school in Enfield is looking for an experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead to join its senior pastoral team.

Previous experience working in a school safeguarding role is essential, ideally with experience as a DSL or DDSL within a primary school.

This is a key position supporting the safeguarding culture of the school and ensuring children receive the right support when concerns arise.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Acting as the school's lead safeguarding professional

  • Managing safeguarding concerns and referrals

  • Maintaining child protection records

  • Liaising with parents and carers

  • Working with social services and external agencies

  • Supporting children and families requiring additional help

  • Coordinating safeguarding training

  • Monitoring safeguarding procedures

  • Supporting staff with safeguarding advice

  • Contributing to safeguarding audits and reviews

About You

You'll be approachable, highly organised and confident handling sensitive information.

Strong knowledge of KCSIE, child protection, early help and safer recruitment is expected, alongside current DSL training.
